Hey all! I realize it’s been a good while since my last post, but I’ve not been completely idle. Been on adventures with kiddos, looking for a weekend job, and of course tinkering in my kitchen!
I have some recipes coming very soon, so stay tuned!
We made some magnets for Mother’s Day and sent them with cards the girls colored.
Made cupcakes for the Renaissance Faire Mother’s Day Cupcake Wars. I made it into the second round. From the left: we have mocha cupcakes with espresso buttercream; Ode to the Queen which is a sponge cake with raspberry filling and a raspberry cream cheese frosting, the crown is made using white chocolate; then we have a chai cupcake, green tea cupcake with a chai spiced buttercream.
The girls had their faces painted! They loved it. 🙂
The girls had fun decorating some of the extra cupcakes. We were given a box of cupcake decorating candies and followed some of the designs pictured. They sure had fun!
Made a lovely and filling drink using apple and quinoa with some cinnamon, yum!
The complex office planted some new flowers. 🙂
We made Rosquitas, a butter/shortbread type cookie from Peru. Has some Anise in it, gives a marvelous delicate flavor!
The girls got to participate in VBS. The theme was the Spy Academy. They had so much fun!
The cake we made for Father’s Day. Strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting, yum! Had some new friends over to celebrate with us and helped make the cake. 😀
Blueberry Grumble. Like a crisp but a thicker crust. Pure deliciousness!
Went to the 4th of July Fest. It was fun watching the plane first do a smiley face. Then it spelled out ‘Airshow’. 🙂
Had a hard time getting a clear picture of her face. She was sitting in my lap, lol. It was a lot of fun being that close to the fireworks!
There’s my quick update. I’ll have a recipe coming very soon!
A couple of questions: When you go to a coffee shop, how likely are you to get more than just a drink?
What kinds of goodies would you expect/like to find at a coffee shop?
Have a great day!
